Wellness: Diets through the ages

in short my success can be summed up in a few words from my doctor:

I love a good steak anymore. In the not so distant past I was a bit worried about eating red-meat and starchy tubors but after exploring the gluten-free life and then eventually the paleo diet it’s refreshing to get back to some basics. Steak and potatoes is right up there with peanut butter and jelly when it comes to pairings and while I don’t eat the latter anymore I eat more steak and potatoes than ever. Keep it grass-fed and organic and you’ll be a happy, healthy person. One of these day’s I’ll put my lipid numbers together to show the dramatic improvement I’ve seen on the paleo diet but in short my success can be summed up in a few words from my doctor:

Pre paleo diet –> "I wan’t you to starting taking Statins and a baby aspirin daily.

Post paleo diet –> "continue to eat a healthy diet! (Dr. Speak for w/e, I can’t argue the numbers)
