    For me, I am a beginner to the Paleo Diet and needed help on what foods to eat and what foods to avoid. This book has been so helpful to me in this regard. It was so helpful that I kept my spiral notebook that I named Healthy Eating and took notes, including foods to buy at the grocery store. What a time-saver and organizer this book has been for me.

    The recipes in this book are EASY to make and DELICIOUS! And best of all the ingredients can be found in any grocery store, no need to have to shop a health food store, online etc!

    My favorite recipe of all (and I loved them all) is the Scrambled Eggs, Bacon and Vegetables the Paleo Way. This recipe is so filling and delicious that I make it for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. What I love about it is that it keeps me filled up and after I eat this, I have so so much energy.

    At the end of this book, there are links to online sources where you can go and find more Paleo information.

    This is a MUST READ book if you are new to Paleo, and I highly recommend it to you!

    Another good read from the author Nick Stevens. The New to Paleo book contained much more information than I expected. Guides, menus and even recipes to help you live healthier and more according to what the body needs.

    I enjoyed reading the book and will be keeping it close by in the kitchen. In a time when we all need to try and live healthier the paleo diet is worth a try – it eliminates the junk and additives we find in every day food items which has got to be the best way to start towards a healthier and fitter lifestyle.

    The advice given in the book is common sense although many people no longer think to check what is in the items they buy at the store. Well done on another great book Nick and thanks

    Nick Bell has published so many books about health, nutrition, well being both of body and of mind that it seems only expected that he would approach the Paleo Diet and all its permutations. In this very well written book he gets to the basics right away – a fine, concise history of the Paleo diet of our ancestors up to the present increased popularity of the Paleo diet as a means to control weight, boost the immune system, and enjoy a great state of health and well being. Or as Nick states, `Fad diets come and go. I mean, you can probably name two or three fad diets right now off the top of your head. The fact is that our bodies crave something that is nutritious, delicious and yet our schedule needs a meal plan that is not terribly time consuming. The solution: Paleo Diet for Weight Loss NOW: An Essential Quick Start Guide to Paleo for Beginners.’

    This particular book (there are several in this series) serves as an Introduction to the Paleo diet as a means of weight loss for beginners. Nick tells how to evaluate our kitchen and pantry, what to have on hand and how to shop, and then proceeds to offer recipes with detailed ingredients and instructions on preparing meals that are in keeping with the Paleo concept – all day Paleo-approved snacks (chocolate chip scones, Gluten free Paleo-approved banana walnut muffins), breakfasts (scrambled eggs, bacon and vegetables the Paleo way),lunches (easy Mexican Inspired Lunchtime, Teriyaki chicken), desserts and treats (Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies, Mixed Berry and Chocolate Paleo smoothies heaven), etc. The only thing missing in this book is a set of photographs to accompany the recipes – always a good guideline when starting out.

    After the recipes section there is more information about how to adjust your life to the Paleo lifestyle, complete with shopping tips, blogs, sites and lists of resources – everything a beginner needs to know. For those who care about getting healthy – with Increased levels of energy, Improved sleep, Healthier looking hair and clearer skin, Increased mental clarity, Marked improvement in mood and attitude, Decreased bloating and gas, Sustained weight loss, Increased muscular strength, Decreased risk of heart disease, diabetes and cancer, Better immune function, Healthier gut flora, Increased absorption of nutrients from food, Reduced sensitivity to allergies and the advantages of the anti-inflammatory aspects of a Paleo Diet, this is the place to come.
