This review is from: Paleo Snacks: 101 Quick, Easy, Delicious and Healthy Paleo Snack Recipes (Kindle Edition)
With the Paleo diet becoming so popular, paleo cookbooks have become common. Many of them emphasize main courses, sides, and desserts. But what about snacks? Lisa Tonelli’s cookbook fills the gap by offering 101 paleo snack recipes. Her cookbook is divided into two major categories––savory snacks and sweet snacks. Some of the recipes under “savory snacks” that caught my eye are beefy scotch eggs, cauliflower hummus, chocolate coated bacon nibbles, five star turkey meatballs, guacamole and shrimp dip, Japanese friend peppers, savory stuffed bell peppers, and Thanksgiving roasted sprouts.

Sweet snacks include recipes for such diverse offerings as banana french toast, berry granola, chocolate cherry scones, chocolate truffles, coconut cookies with chocolate chips, coconut kefir, fresh raspberry muffins, fruit and nut pinwheels, macadamia chocolate bark with sea salt, paleo banana loaf, raspberry swirl pancakes, vanilla custard bake, and vegetable and date muffins.

There’s enough in this cookbook to satisfy just about everyone’s desire for a tasty snack. Almost all the recipes use ingredients that are readily available in supermarkets or specialty stores. Many of them can be whipped up in a few minutes, although some take more preparation time. The instructions are stated clearly. Best of all, the cookbook provides a wide variety of gluten-free snacks. This is a cookbook that everyone who is serious about maintaining a paleo diet should seriously consider.

first recipe is for ants on a log -_-
there are multiple recipes with cheese, and honestly cutting the cheese out of those ones leaves you with nothing to work with.
no pictures of the food (I like pictures, but that had nothing to do with the low rating)
over all I don’t feel it was worth the money at all

    Not what I expected, May 12, 2014

This wasn’t what I expected. There are no pictures, which isn’t a big deal but are always helpful. This book is a small handbook, so it is pricey for what you get. I didn’t find many of the recipes appealing, I was looking for quick & easy snacks and most of the recipes had a lot of ingredients and required more prep work and cooking time than I would prefer, especially considering these are snacks.
