    I purchased this book because I was interested in adding the 5:2 fasting portion to my already established Paleo Diet. Not only did this book help me learn how to incorporate the 5:2 and lose weight with it, but it added some scrumptious recipes besides! I really enjoyed the chapter on fast day dinners. It’s hard to keep up with some diets in this hectic day and age. That chapter for me was truly a blessing. If you’re looking for an additional twist on your Paleo diet, learning about Paleo, or even adding to your arsenal of Paleo recipes then this book is for you. :)

    This is an interesting diet, it is about eating five days as normal and the other two you eat very little calories, 500 for women, and 600 for me. This is to keep your body functioning normally without bloating or keeping the digestive system backed up. I know by experience that you need to be mentally prepared when you are going to fast but it is doable. I have tried intermittent fasting before and it helped me with my weight, while it was different, I’m confident this method will also work and there are more health benefits other than weight loss.

    I find this book very helpful to me since I am a Health conscious person. I always believe that whatever you eat, reflects on who you are. I have wanted to find a diet I was able to follow and that would work but the paleo diet was far too complicated until now. With this book I feel like I have a friend who is there for me at every turn. I am now eating like I was designed to eat. I have after a few days started loosening weight but I do not have that sluggish feeling I have had in the past on new diets. You are encouraged to eat often from a variety of tasty food. I have yet to feel really hungry. The author takes the time to help you understand what the paleo diet is and how it works. He then takes you to the market and helps you buy what you need. In the kitchen I learned to make the dishes both tasty and beautiful with a variety of meal plans so you never get bored. After seeing what I am doing my family and friends are wanting to know more. Even friends who are on the paleo diet. I just show them the book. I am healthy and having fun with this. I highly recommend this book.
