Packs a punch but watch out, its deliciousness is addictive, January 17, 2015

At Last a grain free, gluten free, non-gmo granola! This Renola is so good I am addicted to it, and I am not kidding!

I have Celiac Disease and gluten grains make me sick, very sick. I also happen to be allergic to oats so most commercially made granolas I cannot eat. Even the gluten-free granolas often contain oats. So I usually make my own granola but it’s nice to have a ready made one on hand for those occasions when I just don’t feel like going through the motions of baking up a batch of grain free, gluten free granola that meets my diet restrictions.

This Larabar Renola granola is not just for breakfast. Oh no. It makes an easy, healthy anytime snack. I have even used it in my baking to make my gluten free vegan cookies and muffins a little bit more yummy. The flavor is lovely with just the perfect touch of cinnamon, vanilla and molasses.

I love this 9 ounce package too. I get about 8 rounded 1/4 cup servings from each package. That’s the perfect serving for me with 170 calories per serving. You may think that 1/4 cup makes for a too small serving but trust me – almonds, pecans, cashews, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and raisins pack a punch and are very satisfying and filling. But if you really want more, go ahead and enjoy! Just watch out – its deliciousness is addictive!

A sample lady at Target got me hooked on this stuff, and then they had the nerve to be out! :) So, I came to Amazon to fulfill my need for Larabar chocolate coconut granola. It is so freakin’ good. I’ve been GF seriously for the past year, and one of my kids has issues. This has become Mom’s secret treat. It’s too expensive and good to share. Yum. Just wish it was a little cheaper, or I could figure out my own recipe.

Rip off! Pay $7.50 per bag on the steves paleo website! I can see making a profit on something, but 100 percent markup is nuts.

Wish they made larger sizes but it’s nice that the smaller packages stay fresh. Perhaps they could sell four or six packs?
